Can use opacity in CSS 3 and "filter" workaround for IE to achieve same effect.
Internet Explorer does not support CSS 3, not even IE8.
Expect IE6 to hang on, but IE7 to disappear as users are autoupgraded to IE8.
Internet Explorer has 67% market share, Firefox 23%.
